Quaint place with two of the nicest ladies ever working there... my wife and I ate in a separate room and it was so nice and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was great as well. Great sandwiches and the homemade potato chips are amazing and almost melt in your mouth. They also have a ton of to go items from Asian style noodles to Lasagna and Pasta. It's so good. HIGHLY recommended

I'm retired, single, and in my 60's. I was looking for a meal service that would provide a healthy dinner. I found it through Foodies. I originally placed my orders on-line and had them delivered; however, since they were so close to my home, I decided to shop in-store.Patrick and Melissa are most open to requests and have an awesome display of their chef's culinary craft in the store. Vicky does an exceptional job of welcoming everyone, taking their order, and making sure you're pleased with your order.While they offer a wide range of options from a lunchtime menu, to ready prepared meal selections, to catering, and cooking classes; visit the website to see all that is offered.Daily in the display case to purchase for dinner are a variety of fish (Salmon, Mahi-Mahi, Crab Cakes, & Shrimp); Meat Loaf, Lasagna (Sausage is great but watch calories); Pastas, always Mac and Cheese to please the children; several varieties of chicken, as well as nuggets; a wide variety of vegetables; and... every so often, Stuffed Peppers!I have always tried to exercise and eat well; however, by only changing to purchasing my dinner from Foodies the majority of the time, I have dropped my weight from 270 lbs. to 243 lbs. (5 months.). I took the cooking class with 5 of my girlfriends, so much fun !! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, Sinatra music playing and a glass of wine waiting for us. Patrick and Melissa are so kind and friendly, it is obvious how much they enjoy showing their love of people and community through their love of quality cuisine. The evening was magical !

What a treat! Attended a cooking class with 5 of my girlfriends tonight and could not have been more pleased. Patrick and Melissa were wonderful hosts/instructors; food was delicious, atmosphere very relaxed and enjoyable. Overall very good value.In addition the Market case was well stocked allowing several members of the group to purchase items to take home. 10/10 we will be returning!

If you are looking for a great sandwich or ready to take home meals, you MUST go to Foodies - The Local's Market. Don’t let the location fool you ; it’s in a quiet strip mall on Lynnhaven Parkway but OMG the food is amazing. We all got different sandwiches which came with house made pickles and house made potato chips. Vicky, who took our order was awesome, very attentive and answered all our questions. The store is full of local vendor products. Everything was top notch! All the sandwiches have unique combinations, and all came with fresh bread or rolls. Run don’t walk! You will not regret it!

Trying something new was the best decision I made today. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. I had the bear sandwich which consist of brisket, kale, onion and a homemade sriracha sauce. The potato chips were refreshingly awesome. The young lady suggested their tarragon chicken salad and it was so on point. Definitely going back tomorrow. The best fresh in house made sauces and food from scratch in Virginia Beach

My experience is was nothing less than Amazon I just wanna say the food 50000/10 it was delicious I ordered the INA and this a sandwich you should absolutely die for I was able sit in the table room with my friends and eat felt like I was at home and the home made Chips were so delicious I will definitely be back soon them soon.

I have used Foodies multiple times -- to cater a party, for hosting my book club in their tasting room, and for picking up ready-made meals. I can't say enough good things about Foodies!When my son graduated from high school, we had Foodies do the catering. I wanted something easy and fun for a June afternoon, but also a little special for the occasion. Patrick created a southwestern menu that included fajitas and a taco bar, along with fruit salads and corn relishes. My guests raved about the food and asked for the name of our caterer.When it was my turn to host book club, we held our meeting in the cozy tasting room at Foodies. The location was perfectly central for our Virginia Beach club members. Cat worked with me to select a menu of appetizers that were hearty enough to be a meal -- a cheese and fruit tray, pancetta wrapped shrimp, meatballs, a kale Caesar salad with chicken and homemade croutons. We brought in our own wine and it was an easy and delicious evening.I am a... working mom of four, and during busy weeks, I have stopped by Foodies to grab ready-made food for dinner. I like that the servings are individual, so if some of my family wants salmon while others want chicken or lasagna, we can all just get what we want. The food choices include lots of basic staples my family will eat but prepared with a gourmet flair -- like the French onion meatloaf or spinach and ricotta chicken.I have lived in VB my whole life in the Kempsville area and we have needed a place like this for soooo long. There are some great shops at Hilltop, but this is so much closer and easier for me to get to. Thank you and keep up the great work!read more

Weird location in the back of a strip mall, but worth the stop. Inside is a very comfortable and chic decor. Our server Vicky was fantastic! You order from the counter and pay by weight or fixed price from an upscale and even healthy selection. I guess they do a lot of takeout business, but you can eat there if you want. Vicky made up plates to our choosing and sat us in a small room with one table. I had a serving of chicken Parm and grilled veggies, and my wife had toasted sage dressing, mushrooms and grilled zucchini. If you're planning on visiting the winery across the parking lot, you can get all kinds of goodies to go with vino.

Absolutely Amazing! My husband and I are personal trainers, and are always looking for healthy options that still taste good. Foodies provides delicious meals in their store, along with meal prep. I am able to eat healthy without getting bored eating the same food all of the time. Highly recommend!!!!
